District 4
1 Keppel Bay Drive, Singapore 098012

What are some of the noteworthy Condominium features?
Corals At Keppel Bay is a leasehold condominium completed in 2016. The development (of 366 units) boasts an exclusive scenic waterfront living. Its avant-garde design is by the same architecture company as the Reflections at Keppel Bay condominium. It has more carpark lots (418) than units (366), 4 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging lots. The development has different types of water features and great breathtaking open sea view for some of its blocks.

What are the renovation challenges the homeowners face?
Some of the balconies are quirky and unusual shaped, and this makes installing balcony window treatments like ZipTrack a challenge. In addition, the units are quite small and therefore, furniture which can pull double or triple duty helps to maximise space usage. For certain stacks, some of the units are too close together and hence, curtains and other privacy window treatments are recommended.

First time visitors will be pleasantly surprised with its neon color lighted car park lobby, which helps to distinguish each block. Furthermore, there is a gigantic 100k square foot reflecting pool as one of its water features.

What are the renovation challenges the homeowners face?
Aside from some of its odd-sized floor plan, some of the units have big slanted and round pillars right inside the rooms. Therefore, customised carpentry is needed to minimise the space wasted by the odd locations of these pillars. Homeowners can consult with their interior design professionals on how to hide or make those pillars useful.

Where can you find it?
District 9
130 Cairnhill Rd, Singapore 229717

What are some of the noteworthy Condominium features?
The Edge On Cairnhill is a small freehold apartment which is completed in 2003. The apartment comprises a total of 46 units and is located on the Cairnhill Road. All the all units enjoy full height windows throughout and mostly made of 4 bedrooms. Each unit enjoys the exclusive privacy since there is only 1 unit per floor. Furthermore, the units are fitted with wine fridge and Miele stainless steel appliances.

What are the renovation challenges the homeowners face?
The apartment's unique cylindrical-shape meant that most of the furniture needs to be customised to maximise space.  Furthermore, there are 2 round pillars in the living room area. Hence,  homeowners can utilise the right decor to minimize the appearance of the pillars while expressing their personal design style. One quick way is to cover the pillars with long hanging plants to usher in some greenery indoors or use mirror stickers to reflect more light and draw attention away from the pillars.
