Terrible experience
We engaged Charisa as our ID back in Nov 2022.
Demolition works started on the first week of Jan, and the clearing of debris was completed before CNY. That's when our horror started. There were minimal works (i.e 2 days per week, and was told that it is normal) carried out after CNY, and for weeks, we asked if we were on schedule multiple times and were told, "Don't worry, we are on track." We insisted on the project timeline as we sensed something wrong and were given a shocking 2 months delay.
Only at that point did Charisa come clean and said that she miscalculated the timeline and needed more time to complete this project. Communication with Massing was horrible. Every time we gave an instruction, we always go up to our house in shock. They can't seem to get anything right.
More and more lies were said to cover up for their mistakes, and they took no ownership of the mistakes they made. And to make things worse, their attitude was horrendous and super unprofessional. Each time we point out something that was done wrongly, she would reply with a sigh and more sigh.
We gave them all the appliances' dimensions and even arranged for physical items to be there, but they still got the dimensions wrong.
Carpentry discussion started somewhere in early February, and design was only finalised in early April, bcos they needed more time as charisa was overseas & then later fell sick. Adding on to more horror, just prior to carpentry fabrication, we were told that our kitchen design is not doable as they got the dimensions of the kitchen pipe wrong. Instead of it being at the tall cabinet, it is now at the location of our stove. The pipe has been exposed since January (3 months), and we were assured that she went up to do the measurement herself. But she could still get it wrong.
Even the sequence of work itself was wrong. When our new contractor took over, he questioned why the water proofing was done so low for the kitchen. To our horror, we were told waterproofing was normally done before screeding, but massing did the opposite.
Being new homeowners with lots of ideas, Charisa gave no advice on whether our ideas were workable or legal. When our new contractor took over, he spotted a lot of design flaws, which massing gave no advice against. 1 is the tight space that will hinder washing machine replacement. The 2nd, she routed aircon trunking into where my carpentry was supposed to be. In the event that there is a leakage, the carpentry might be damaged due to that.
Even the electrician that was introduced (Nikson, YK Electrical Engineering) by Charisa was a horror. Our new contractor pointed out a lot of unsafe works that were done. Live cables were run in parallel to my water pipes in the bathroom.
Live wires were conveniently tucked into aircon trunking instead of properly secured. Multiple sockets were looped to a single breaker.
Because of the inexperienced design by Massing, we had to fork out a lot more to correct those unsafe works that were previously carried out. And to make good the surfaces of the house. We practically tore down everything, but whole house plastering wasn't advised to be done by massing.
Charisa eventually asked if we wanted a change in designer, and that point, we told her that if having a change in designer can resolve our issues, we will have a change in design. Luis, the manager, then gave us 2 choices. The first being he himself taking over the rest of the works and giving us a new timeline, and second, they will finish the on-hand works, and we find someone else to take over.
At that point, it was already the first week of April, and we were thinking of biting the bullet to let him finish through. But the replies he gave showed us that he had no interest in finishing up the project, and we decided that it is in our interest to part ways.
It took them almost 3 weeks to finalise the final quotation of works done by them and also the on-hand outstanding works (minor tiling and partition works).
16 weeks of renovation, and we don't have a house to stay. Our worse choice to engage Massing Design. Utterly disappointed.

Worst ID I ever see
Dear massing design,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the poor customer service that I have received from your Massing design. My recent experience with your ID phyills (massing design award for top 4 designer nov 2022)has been nothing short of frustrating and unprofessional. Please do not choose her to be your ID, she will make you hair pulling every single day !!!!
To begin with, I would like to address the issue of irresponsible behavior. I had an appointment scheduled with your company, but your ID phyills failed to inform me that they would be unable to make it. This lack of communication caused me a great deal of inconvenience and wasted my time.
Furthermore, I found your representatives to be rude and argumentative. They were unwilling to listen to my concerns and instead chose to argue with me. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect well on your company (Massing design).
In addition, phyills made promises that they were unable to keep. This over-promising and under-delivering has left me feeling frustrated and let down. I trusted your company to provide me with reliable service, but this experience has left me feeling that Massing design is not trustworthy and will not recommend anyone to your company.
Finally, I would like to address the issue of poor customer service. Throughout my interactions with massing design, I felt that my needs were not being prioritized. Phyills were unable to provide me with the information and support that I needed, and this lack of customer service has left me feeling dissatisfied with Massing design.
I urge you to take action to address these issues and ensure that your ID phyills are providing the level of service that your customers deserve. I hope that you will take my feedback seriously and work to improve your customer service standards.

Very poor customer service
Dear massing design,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I have received from your company and your staff Phyllis. The behavior of your staff towards me has been completely unacceptable, and I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention.
Firstly, I would like to bring to your attention that my IDs was mishandled by your staff phyills. This is a serious matter, and I expect your company to take full responsibility for the mistake and ensure that it does not happen again in the future.
Furthermore, I have had numerous unpleasant experiences with your staff, including instances where they have been rude and argumentative towards me. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior, and it has left me feeling extremely frustrated and disrespected.
In addition, I have had several instances where your phyills have been untrustworthy and have not kept their promises. This has left me feeling that I cannot rely on your company to provide the service that I need or refer anyone to your company.
Finally, I would like to bring to your attention an incident where one of your IDs phyills even hung up on me during a phone call. This is simply not acceptable and is a clear demonstration of the lack of respect and professionalism that your company has shown towards me.
I urge you to take immediate action to address these issues and ensure that your staff are properly trained and held accountable for their behavior. I expect a prompt response from you regarding this matter.

Proud of the work and delivers the quality
Massing's design caught our eyes as we were inclined to their portfolios. We had the pleasure of having Nicholas as our ID and to manage our home project.
He was exceptional and took extra care of his responsibilities from hosting several meetings, showing up on-site and importantly, sharing his expert opinion from designing to the practical and innovative use of space for our home. Communications and negotiations were prompt and responsive. Massing's works were assuring as Nicholas would ensure the carpentry works out the way it was communicated and took care of the details. You would want a designer who is proud of his work and delivers the quality. Thanks guys!

Good job to ensure the quality of Reno was top notch
Thank you nic & zavier for helping out with our project! Even though our project was considered small, nic and zavier were still very responsive and attentive to all our needs as a homeowner. They also did a good job to ensure the quality of Reno was top notch. Our cabinets and flooring were all very very well done, and they were also helpful when we insisted to hire our own third part contractors for some parts of our Reno. They did not view that as a “not my responsibility” situation but rather put in effort to help ensure the quality of Reno done by third party contractors and to flag out when there was issues.

Good quality work and everything was efficiently managed
It was a great experience working with Massing Design. John and Heriqi were super patient with all our questions and gave great recommendations on design and on alternative choices. It's been a year since we have moved and have no complaints. The quality of the work is really good and everything was efficiently managed, Even though my reno work started during the covid times. Highly recommended! 👍🏼

Excellent service, professionalism and knowledgeable
I would like to thank John who was our ID and would highly recommend Massing Design for anyone looking to do their renovation.
We approached several other interior design companies as well but eventually decided on engaging Massing Design's service due to their excellent service, professionalism as well as their familiarity and knowledge in the industry. In particular, John was very professional and at the same time able to meet our office's needs and requirements and gave great advice and suggestions.
We had a very tight timeline to meet with multiple requirements for this new expansion of space and John was able to pull it off perfectly and completed the renovation works within our given deadline and delivered what was promised. Throughout the whole process, we were given regular updates to our timeline and what
was ongoing which gave us much assurance.
Impressed by the works done at our new office, we decided to also engage them to re-renovate a portion of our existing office.
We'd like to give special thanks to John who was ever so patient with our multiple requests and amendments; it was an outstanding job done and the whole process was made such a breeze.
