Irresponsive & Lack Professionalism

Karen Cheong was a polite and friendly ID when we first met. However after the initial payment made to her, it was the beginning of months of nightmare. I could never reach her over the phone when I dial her number, and she will reply you that she's in meetings/on calls and worse still, reject your call without any call backs. Messages sent will take at least half a day later before responses came back. A once-upon-a-time polite lady became overnight someone who is lack of simple & basic manners to even drop you an acknowledgement with messages you dropped to her. Countless times, it ran into middle of the night to get her simple and haphazard replies, which forced me out of my bed to engage as the issues required attention. To compensate her lack of involvement in my renovation work, I took almost half a month of leave to sit in the house while the contractors do their work. For the whole duration of 2 months, I barely saw her in my unit for once, which I never had the chance to speak to her as she claimed she is busy, need to give instructions and left immediately. Since then, we never met face to face for any of the renovation work or to discuss on the defects, I literally dealt direct with the contractors who came down. Super disappointed with the experience I had with Icon Interior. You basically pay for an ID to help you project manage the renovation but none of these were delivered in mine. I would urge new home owners to stay away.

Would like to express our thanks to Jason for the renovation of our apartment at Newton. Everything was done according to the timeline and budget. Jason was very professional, responsible and easy to work with. He spent a lot of time with us in choosing the right materials and colours and was responsive in rectifying anything that we raised. Workmanship was very decent. Definitely a pleasant experience overall.

We went to the National Day Fair to only ask for quotation. However, when our ID, Shafee laid out the designs for our home, we got attracted to it. Hence, without hesitation and comparing quotations, we went ahead and engaged Icon. Shafee is dedicated to his work, providing us with a lot of info and always giving us his honest opinions whenever we consulted him (colours for the home, furniture, lights). Most of the time, we would follow his advice as we put our trust in him. Definitely no regrets! Shafee is also prompt in his replies and will always update us the progress of our renovation from time to time. Though it was the peak period (end yr) and we were urgent to move in, Shafee tries his best to accommodate to our needs. After moving in and when there are things that are not to our satisfaction, we informed him and he will get it done as soon as possible. Few months at our newly renovated home now, we are truly satisfied with the quality of our carpentry works. They are of good quality and workmanship. Overall, we are happy with the outcome. Thank you Shafee and Icon for making our cosy home a reality! Keep up the good work!

We engaged Icon to do our home and we are thrilled with how our house turned out! A thousand thanks to our ID Roslan (Ross) who has been extremely patient with us in helping to make our dream come true. Throughout our reno journey, Roslan has listened to our needs and tried his best to create the cosy home that we envisioned. Roslan's vast experience and technical know-how enabled him to think of the most creative solutions to maximise the space and layout of our home. We love how our home is so beautiful and spacious yet practical and easy to maintain, with all the hidden storage and functions that Roslan came up with. It was great working with Roslan as he takes in our ideas, incorporates his own ideas and the results are simply outstanding! For example, when we initially wanted an open shelf in our dry kitchen, Roslan suggested a closed shelf to have a neater look. Putting both inputs together, he designed a mechanism that would enable the shelf doors to open up and be folded inwards so that I can choose to have an open or closed-shelf look according to my needs. Roslan was also extremely helpful and guided us to choose the right colour schemes and materials for our home. His impeccable taste has helped us make choices that we have never regretted. The best thing about Roslan is that he never says no when faced with a sudden request to change a design or add on a feature or even to troubleshoot unexpected problems. He tries his best to come up with a solution. For example, in the course of our reno, there was a ceiling leakage due to our neighbours above us. Roslan went beyond his duty to help settle the issue for us and the matter was rectified speedily! Even up till now, he still responds promptly when we need his help or advice with regards to our house issues. Icon has also given good deals such as wonderful Blum mechanism incorporated into our carpentry. The packages and pricing that Icon offers are also very reasonable when compared with the other ID companies that we consulted. Their workmanship is also commendable. And of course, we are extremely satisfied with the end result. Our house now is even more beautiful than we ever imagined it to be and than even the 3D pictures! Thank you Roslan and Icon for making our dream home a reality!

Hi icon interior design.. My husband & I would like to say thank q, especially to our ID Roslan (ross) for making our dream home into a reality..we had a great experience working with him. He is very open to our idea n even gave his expert advice on how to make it look better, and the best thing abt our id Roslan (ross) is..he is very fast in responding n will try to solve any problem within the shortest time possible.. My husband and I got Shafee to design our house and it was beautifully done, we love the Blum system, and the open kitchen, which is functional yet stylish, something we had never thought of before we met Shafee, and the main attraction of our house is the featured wall. The process of doing up our house was smooth and Shafee is friendly and so dedicated to his work, he makes sure to always explain to us when we are in doubt, always responds to our queries at any time of the day. We are thankful to have him as our ID, thank you Icon Interior Design :)
