Good IDs are such a rarity. On top of that I’m rather particular about work quality, design and colours. Thank God my ID Johnson Ng is not only talented but he has many years of experience to back up his ideas and is meticulous to a T. I’m also super busy, as is Johnson, yet he’s had the patience to answer many of my Qs. Notably, Johnson doesn’t just answer Qs like some would to fob you off; he will illustrate and explain what he means in fully addressing your doubts and concerns and in offering solutions. Trust me, when renovating, one is suddenly wrecked with self doubt and indecision because one literally has to live with one’s choices! I don’t know where Johnson finds the time and energy but you know your ID’s working for your interests when he responds your queries late at night, on weekends and follows up even when he’s ill or in one instance in the midst of a family crisis. My reno actually took 1 year to complete because I did it in 2 (unplanned) phases. Johnson took on my additional work (after the first handover) in his stride. He didn’t roll his eyes at me for changing my mind but stayed professional and understanding through out phase 2. Post reno, he even took time out when he didn’t have to, to help me with decisions on where to hang my wall ‘furnishings’ - my various paintings, mirrors, photo gallery, etc. I have also observed that Johnson is kind and caring to his workers and partners, often buying them drinks and ensuring they are the ‘lower in sugar’ options. He has a good relationship with his work partners, I note his electricians, carpentars plumbers and such, all speak well of him. I hope HDA’s CEO will recognise and appropriately reward such an outstanding staff in Johnson. I certainly deeply value Johnson for his skills, his sincerity and service par excellence.

Happe was a recommendation from a friend of ours as we were looking for a reliable ID to handle our renovation. We arranged a meeting, felt that they were the right person for the project and decided to engage them. Our IDs was Choo Yih & Kelvyn, they were responsive and gave a good first impression. We both discussed what we wanted for the design and gave them a tight timeline. Kelvyn coordinates well with the rest of his team (carpenter, electrician and construction workers etc). They are all very professional and managed to work well together making sure that the project runs smoothly. As for the carpentry, it was unique and unconventional which is out of the norm. We were impressed with the workmanship and the how they exceeded our expectations!

My brother recommended Happe and we decided to meet up with them to discuss further on what we wanted for the design. Our ID Kelvyn was someone that we felt easy to talk to. He gave us some suggestions and listened to what we need. We felt that he met the requirements that we wanted for our design and the pricing is quoted reasonable too! The renovation experience was positively good. Kelvyn is a professional and at times even when it was late at night, he stayed up to make sure to get the job done. He helped us to choose the colours, materials etc to match our furniture. We were happy with Kelvyn's good service and how he managed to execute the project smoothly.

Happe previously did the renovation work for my corporate office. I was impressed with their work that I decided to engage their services again for my Social Enterprise Office space. Working alongside with Kelvyn was fantastic! As I was in Canada when the renovation was ongoing, we had to do everything remotely. Kelvyn managed to handle the project very well. What impressed me the most was the design which is trendy, cool and Kelvyn gave some of his ideas that made the place so unique. Overall, I'm very glad I chose Happe.
