My husband and I approached Authors several times along with other firms in our initial search for an ID. We found ourselves coming back to Authors each time, as their style matched what we had in mind. We're thankful to have had Julie as our ID. She was very responsive and extremely patient with us in answering our gazillion queries (as this was our first renovation). We did the sourcing for the furniture and fittings on our own and Julie was always available to advise if our choices were in line with the general theme/look of our home. We were both very impressed with Julie’s professionalism (even more so after having heard of horror stories about other IDs). The entire renovation went smoothly and the handover was as scheduled. Special mention to the Authors' contractors, who were very hardworking and friendly. They would accommodate some of our on-the-spot requests and would even give us suggestions at times. Our family and friends were very much impressed with the look, quality and workmanship of our home. All in all, a well-managed project by Julie that made it an enjoyable experience for us, for our first home! NGL, 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Julie and her team including Tayllen from Authors Interior had demonstrated utmost professionalism in delivering the best design and services. Notwithstanding our inexperience in many aspects of the renovation as a first-time homeowner, the process from planning to execution was extremely smooth and pleasant. This was only possible because Julie exhibited a keen sense of design and is always well prepared with various recommendations for our discussions based on our inputs. Not only was the project completed on schedule, the workmanship is impeccable. The outcome driven by Julie and her team had far exceeded our expectations. I applaud the excellent work done and would like to express our thanks again to the team.

My husband and I had engaged Brandon to be our ID through a mutual friend's recommendation, and we were extremely glad in doing so. Brandon has been nothing short of professional, passionate, friendly and great with his design ideas and recommendations. He will always point out several factors for us to consider in terms of colour scheme, design detailing, function etc and since this was our first home renovation, we were thankful for all the little tips he brought forth. We did quite a lot of carpentry since it’s a resale condo, and the overall workmanship work was good, just some minor touch ups here and there. After living in this space for over a month, it really feels like home now, and we love the comfort it brings us.

Julie was a joy to work with, always pleasant, patient with our multitude of queries. Very responsible and we had peace of mind throughout without having to constantly check up on the reno process! Pre-reno was thorough, and we were informed of changes/costs upfront wherever possible so there were no surprise variation costs. Processes and timeline was also clearly communicated. In fact, our renovation was completed much earlier than expected which is quite a deed considering the delays due to the fluid COVID situation, so kudos to Julie and the team! On-site updates were also prompt and Julie was always responsive to our queries. While we were indecisive on certain matters, Julie understood, and gave great insights and suggestions with a good eye for design - we didn’t even have to make many changes to the design from the start as we liked what was proposed. She is also respectful of our opinions and tries to explain if something may not be feasible or provide alternatives where possible. The workmanship was good overall with just minor cosmetic touch-ups required, and the contractors who were working on our site were very helpful and responsible (eg rectifying things they noticed that we did not notice nor mark out for rectification). The site was also kept considerably clean and neat throughout! We are so thankful for a smooth and worry-free renovation process in building our first home - would highly recommend Julie!

We engaged Authors to renovate our new home and we were extremely happy with the entire process. Jun was our assigned ID and he was very patient and professional with us. His designs were superb and according to what we wanted and expected. Throughout the entire renovation process, he was very helpful as well - we were first-time homeowners and naturally inexperienced and uncertain about various things, but Jun guided us along and came up with very thoughtful suggestions and solutions for our requests and concerns. Most importantly he was not one to immediately dismiss our ideas - he was more than happy to incorporate our sometimes left-field ideas, which resulted in creative solutions. In this regard, it was more of a collaborative process which we thoroughly enjoyed. As with any renovations, there will naturally be hiccups, but Jun would be patient with us whenever we freaked out at such things. We should especially highlight that he never ever once shirked responsibility for a hiccup even when it had nothing to do with him / was not his fault. Instead, he would always try to resolve every issue with us, no matter how trivial, which we really appreciated. All in all it was a really pleasant experience working with Jun and we couldn't have wished for a better ID for our home.

We were impressed by its professionalism of Julie from the first meet up. She is able to give suggestions and ideas that are workable. She will also advise us on more than one solution instead of insisting for us to do it her way. We heard so many horror stories of IDs and renovations but we were lucky to have Julie help us settle our nest. We're grateful for her all the guidance through the whole renovation process and for always keeping us updated. She is trustable and the quality of work is good.

We engaged Tayllen, Brandon and team from Authors Interior and Styling to renovate our first home and were really impressed by the service and care that we received! We came across Authors on Instagram and noticed that they had a great profile of various renovation projects, several of which suited the mid-century modern and sleek aesthetic we were keen on. In particular the play of different wood laminates and colours in their past projects stood out to us. What also caught our eye was the clean finishing and good quality workmanship that we saw, something we confirmed when we visited the showroom and saw samples of their own work in real life (e.g. carpentry and flooring). Tayllen was matched to us shortly after we sent in an enquiry for quotation. Even though the timeline for us to get our keys was uncertain, Tayllen was really accommodating and helped us to make sense of how we could pace our renovation. She listens carefully to what we prefer and how we imagine ourselves using the space, and then shares her professional perspective and opinion. She always takes care to share the cost implications and practicality considerations at every step of the way too. All of these ensured that we made informed choices in our renovation that led to a clean and functional design for our home. When Tayllen had to be away on maternity leave, she made sure to give us plenty of advance notice and the Authors team brought in Brandon to help in her absence. We are very grateful that Brandon took care of our project very seamlessly and professionally, from confirmation of works to be done, helping us with our defects checks voluntarily, seeing through the scheduling and renovation coordination amidst a very tight schedule. Brandon took time to explain site constraints and considerations to us when proceeding with various stages of the renovation works and always made sure we were comfortable before proceeding. Both Brandon and Tayllen were very responsive throughout our time working with the Authors team and made us feel very special as new homeowners! Besides the IDs, the team of contractors that works with Authors is also a really amazing one - we really appreciated the good quality of work and finishing throughout different trades - and the workers often came back of their own accord to touch up / finish up work to ensure we could have our home in the best condition. This made the final stages of renovation relatively stress free as we did not need to fret over poor implementation or multiple significant defects. Overall we highly recommend team Authors and of course Tayllen and Brandon. It was a great pleasure and our privilege to get to work with you in making our first home a reality! :)

Authors Interior caught our eyes when we were looking for ID firms as we really liked their portfolios featuring the mid-century modern theme. We made an appointment with them and Eleven was the ID assigned to us. He was easy to talk to. We had some ideas on how we wanted our house to look like but were uncertain whether the ideas were feasible or how to pull them off. He tried his best to make our ideas come to life and provided advice and feedback but he wasn't pushy. He has an eye for detail and we liked his designs. He was also accommodating to our budget, so we didn't exceed our budget by too much. During renovation, we had to take the initiative to follow up with him and ask him about the timeline as progress was slightly slower than we expected, probably due to the pandemic. Like all renovations, there were some problems that occurred during renovation due to oversight but they were mostly quickly solved. Workmanship by their contractors met our expectations too. Eleven was responsive and the defects we spotted after moving in were rectified soon after we gave feedback. Overall, we are happy with how our house turned out. Thank you, Eleven!

We had an amazing experience working with Tayllen from Authors Interior. From our very first meeting and throughout our engagement with Authors on works for our new place, Tayllen was not only professional and knowledgeable but was also a very personable lady to work with. We had a vision for an open concept home that was different from a usual condo/HDB layout and had struggled to find an ID who could help us bring it to life. Tayllen was the only ID we spoke to who bothered to understand our lifestyle and living habits, and by doing so, helped us ensure that our beautiful home was also truly functional and met our daily needs. We had some less conventional design requests and she’d given us her honest and professional opinion on whether certain designs or materials may not be optimal for the house, but was always able to provide great alternatives or workarounds. Due to covid, renovation works were more complicated due to manpower restrictions and scheduling. But Tayllen was super proactive in providing us regular updates on our works and timely completion of our reno. Even after moving in, she’s been helping us with some additional works around our home. Thanks Tayllen for helping to bring our dream home to life!

We were first-time homeowners and were lucky to have Tayllen as our ID. Not only she is friendly and experienced, she was also patient and responsive to all our questions. Tayllen was meticulous in her designs and was able to clearly explain her rationale behind those designs. She was able to stick to the planned schedule (even though there were some delays in our online purchases) so that we were able to move in on the day that we wanted. She kept us updated regularly with photos sent during this COVID period and made sure that her contractors kept to the timeline. and is able to advise and explain things it in a way that helps you understand and make good/informed decisions for your desired home. There were a few times when we were unable to make up our minds, she would gently remind us of our theme and not get side-tracked by furniture sales or impractical ID designs. Having an open communication means that we were able to discuss freely what we have in mind so there was no miscommunication or misunderstanding. She also shared some of the pros and cons that we may encounter with our decisions (such as choosing a display lamp in our dining area instead of ceiling fan with light, open vs closed kitchen, etc) so we can manage our expectations accordingly. We didn't know there were so many things that we have to decide in our house and we were grateful that she was able to share her experience so we won't make decisions that we will regret later on. Tayllen also provided us with various alternatives to fit our budget and she recommended a few ideas that still fit the overall theme. Tayllen also did not spare any expenses when a mistake was made by her carpenter in the master bathroom. She discussed the mistake with us and checked whether it was acceptable. Ultimately we decided to rectify the mistake and it was done beautifully. Even after the renovation has been completed, whenever we had questions or issues, she would gladly share her advice and help us. There were also minor issues post-renovation and she was able to rectify them promptly. We really enjoyed working together with Tayllen. Thank you so much for the amazing experience!
