Home Renovation: Tips The Walls

  • Apr 29, 2013

Home renovation, also called home remodelling, does not need to be elaborate and expensive. In fact, many renovation companies can give you a few tips on how to do home renovation without breaking the bank – and without going overboard. Home-Renovation--Tips-The-Walls The quickest and least expensive way to change a home is by doing something about your walls. Walls do not need to be boring. Some people prefer to paint their walls a bland white. If you want to add character to your home, here are some ways you can spice up your wall.

Paint

The easiest way to do your home renovation is by painting the walls a bold shade. Paint is affordable and you can even do it yourself. I would suggest that you hire a professional, though. For best results

Drywall Textures

Drywall texture techniques are often incorporated into home renovations now. These drywall techniques can be used to add new architectural or design touches, revamping ceilings and walls and improving the overall appeal of your home. Your walls or ceilings can be done up in many ways. Retexturing walls can make older homes look new. You can also opt to go with custom textures for your home renovation for a completely unique look.

Faux Painting

Faux painting has rapidly gained popularity over the years. But what is exactly is faux painting? Faux painting uses decorative and often special paint finishes and techniques such as sponging, wood graining, glazing or freehand designs. A lot of the quirkier individuals prefer this for their home renovation. Some faux painting finishes can actually create three dimensional effects on your walls or ceilings. If you prefer to go safe, you can request for finishes that resemble cloth, denim or linen. You don’t need to break down walls and ceilings for your home remodelling. Changing up the texture and shade can do wonders for your home.
