Situated at Punggol, The Verandah @ Matilda is so named because it has an elevated verandah that provides sheltered connectivity between other residential blocks. The project is also big on community – there are collonaded verandahs that function as interaction zones and an open lawn that will serve as a venue for larger gatherings.

The project comprises just 481 units of 4- and 5-room premium flats, so it isn’t a very big development. While premium flats come with the compulsory floor finishes in certain parts of the home, there is still plenty of room to manoeuvre to achieve your dream design. Need plenty of wardrobe space? This layout is for you. A part of the master bedroom was converted into a walk-in wardrobe and lined with full-height closets. An area was set aside for a classic vanity table, complete with a lightbulb-framed mirror.

Straight lines are so yesterday. The TV feature wall is made up of thin wood planks that look fractured when viewed from a distance, creating a visual play on crooked lines. The TV is hidden behind white panelled doors so that it wouldn’t be obtrusive.
Instead of a large rug, use tiles as your “carpet”. You don’t have to be symmetrical about it – make it irregular so that it looks more organic and intentional.
