We recently bought a 21-year-old resale flat and started looking for renovation companies. We visited Weiken.com at their Bizhub office one weekend, and we were pleasantly welcomed by Elaine Tan.
Elaine is a young and chatty Interior Designer. She listened attentively to our requirements and prompted us with relevant questions at the correct juncture. She is very detailed and took notes all the time. She gave appropriate advice and was quick to point out the disadvantages in our ideas/requirements. She would offer a better solution if she has one.
Elaine did a visualization drawing of the agreed design for my apartment. She asked for pictures of furniture and display items that would be brought over from our existing flat and incorporated them into the visualization. This gave us a very good idea of the final result. Changes to the visualization were also made after we selected the tiles, colours for walls and carpentry. The end result turned out to be very similar to the visualization.
Elaine selects her contracting teams carefully. All of them executed their work in good coordination, including the electrical works, which was not in her scope of work.
Elaine prompted us early to buy the fixture items and coordinated the delivery of the items. Given that the apartment can be quite messy during the renovation period, she ensured delivered items were in pristine condition, and their installation was done satisfactorily.
Weiken.com is not the lowest priced in the market. However, we felt that the work discharged by Elaine and her team has been smooth, and more importantly, without any disputes. We are happy with her work, money well-spent. On top of that, her organization also gives a 2-year warranty period for any defects.
A renovation project involved a lot of details; it takes someone with the responsibility to review everything in many iterations before the commencement of work. We encourage those who are scouting for renovation ID to make an appointment with Elaine and have a chat with her.
